P.S. I know it’s been a while since the last post. Rest assured we’re working hard to get THIS HAS HAPPENED out to the public. Here’s a photo of Jeannine and I (taken by Nissa) selling books at the recent Walk Like MADD event.

Central to our experience is the fact that one poor decision has sent ripples of consequence throughout hundreds of people, a message we have been fortunate to be able to share with first-time DUI offenders on behalf of MADD (Mothers Against Drunk Driving.)  Jeannine and I have participated in a few different MADD events, spreading our story and our knowledge in hopes of passing on a concrete realization that one’s decisions can have a terrible power, and one selfish moment in time can alter the lives of many forever. We will continue working with MADD. They have thrown their full support behind This Has Happened, and we are more than grateful.

In the coming months, we will work to get This Has Happened in as many places as possible, and share our story with as many who will listen.  If anyone out there has any suggestions of places or people who might benefit from the book, please let us know.

I know it’s been a long time coming, and quite a bit longer than we said it might be, but the book is on the horizon.  Word from the printers is that 1,000 copies of This Has Happened will be loaded onto a ship headed this way November 23rd.  So, barring any unexpected setbacks or unsought high seas adventure, the books should be in California in early December, and into your hands soon after.

Also in early November, the radio program Jeannine and I did with KPFA will be broadcast nationally on NPR. Stay tuned for more information on that as it comes in.

And stay tuned for news of a possible collaboration with MADD (Mothers Against Drunk Driving.)
